I'm Depressed, what can I do about it

I'm depressed: Researchers say they have found a link between internet addiction and depression. They state that the time spent on the internet is directly related to a depressed state of mind. The rates of people suffering from a clinical depression condition has increased very much in the last 10 years. The illness is growing largely in the United States and Europe. “I'm Depressed” has become a common complain by millions of people and the numbers are growing.

Does the internet contribute to depression

Researchers at Swannsea and Milan University studied people and their internet habits, the researchers concluded that there was a correlation between time spent on the internet and depression.

Although we do not know exactly what Internet addiction is, our results show that around half of the young people we studied spend so much time on the net that it has negative consequences for the rest of their lives.”
These initial results, and related studies of brain function, suggest that there are some nasty surprises lurking on the net for people’s wellbeing.

I'm Depressed: The internet?

Depression is very complex and we do not agree at all with this study, what we have found in our own research is that what people are searching or surfing for online can cause more depression than how much time is spent on the internet. What we have seen is that pornography, dating or certain music sites can lead to depression. After research we found that those who watched the most pornography or listened to heavy metal music had more depression after a period of time. The reason for this seems to stem from pornography or certain music leads to more anti social behavior. Amongst pornography watchers “I'm depressed” was a growing complaint.
